In love with PETER BEARD

Peter Beard

Born in 1938 in New York, he was raised all over America. In 1955 he first went to Africa, and after graduating from Yale university, he went back to Kenya and started his photographic and artistic experience. His characteristic photographic style consist in African culture, animals and notebook feel pictures. I love the way he incorporates his notebooks into his pictures. Very unique and inspirational work.

In construction... Belle Époque/Edwardian hat

YES! I am (trying) making an edwardian style hat for my up coming shoot on Sunday. I have the beautiful old looking flowers and amazing and rich feathers from my mom's collection (thank you mom for keeping everything in your life!!). I bought the structure at House of Fraser, a department store here in London. It had an awful striped bow that I took it off to keep only the simple structure. It's not perfect Belle Époque shape for a hat, but as my shoot is called "L'Époque Conceptuel" everything more or less works.
I am really looking foward for shooting! I found an amazing team! Phine Ka (http://phinekaphoto.500px.com/) is going to shoot, while Pascale Recher (http://www.pascalerecher.com/) is going to do make-up and hair! SO EXCITING!!
